status as a preferred supplier to Symbian Ltd and now with our Nordic associates an approved supplier to Nokia.
As testimony to our expertise and delivery excellence, Cell Telecom created a low cost site in

iPhone
Apple, with the release of the iPhone has once again redefined the user interface perspective,
this time towards the mobile handheld market. The iPhone has and will continue to have influence
and be a stimulus within the market and with handset manufacturers.
Cell Telecom has taken a strong interest in the development possibilities of the iPhone and its
interface capabilities, becoming a registered member of the Apple iPhone Developer Program. We have
been involved in several application development projects on this innovative platform, including
language translation, banking applications and applications to ‘enhance the shopping experience’
for a Swedish-owned high street clothes chain.
Android
Android developed by Google and later by the Open Handset Alliance, is an Open Source Mobile
Platform based on a Mobile Linux core. Applications and a large part of the Android platform itself
are implemented in the Java programming language. Applications written in C/C++ can be compiled to
ARM native code and run, but this development path isn't officially supported.
Partly because it is Open Source and therefore free to license, but also due to Google’s market
position and leverage the Android platform has created great interest within the mobile industry.
While investigating the technical capabilities of Android, Cell Telecom has also been developing
multimedia applications for the platform and assessing Android’s potential/suitability within in-car computer systems.
